Lost. When he first came to air ABC, he was an instant hit with more than 100 million viewers during the first few episodes. After spending some time watching a DVD for the first time, I can certainly understand why.

Lost begins with a crash on a jet trip from Australia to Los Angeles. The first glimmers of the orientation of science fiction shows are when we see that about 50 passengers, not only to survive the accident, but many of them have only a bruise on themselves. Actors who at the time, at least 14 main characters quickly realizes they are split into (as they think) is a deserted island somewhere in the South Pacific. In discussions with other Cast-souvenirs, they understand that a flight attendant survived and she tells them that they have diverted back to Australia because of technical problems, so they were at least 2 hours from the course, and they have virtually no hope for salvation.

In the first season of the show the writers give us a lot of issues that will continue throughout the series. For a start, we see common elements of science fiction (the person in a wheelchair can not only walk, but to catch a wild boar) as well as the human factor of interest, since everyone has a series of choices to make in order to become a better person or not, such as whether to continue to use illegal drugs.

By the end of the first season, they understand that they are not only not alone on the island, but perhaps others on the island will not help them to escape back to civilization.

It is with this in mind, survival and the struggle to leave the island and be rescued, which we can look at our society from a distance, and address some common issues that we all need to be answered during our lives. What we should be honest? Are we fundamentally good people? What would you do for your children? How do you assess your family’s life, compared with a stranger? 10 strangers?

In many respects, I think, Lost has become such a commercial success, because she has put these complex issues and interesting person interaction. I totally enjoyed the first season, it was unpredictable, offering a unique viewing experience, offering consistently Flashback to life the characters from one character to be featured in each episode.
